Psychoacoustics

Sound is described by time, frequency, and pressure. Therefore, the time-sense, frequency-sense, and pressure-sense systems are foundations of the auditory system.

We are interested in the auditory time-sense system, how the auditory system perceives the timing information of sounds. We are approaching this research theme through the psychophysical experiment and the auditory model simulation.

Corpus Musicology

We propose a new methodology and research area, which collects the music performance data, builds the dataset, and analyzes it quantitatively. We call this methodology or research area "Corpus Musicology," which is inspired by Corpus Linguistics.
